Comparison

How do the treatment technologies differ?

Compare seven Sixtus treatment technologies by energy, function and equipment. Understand the key differences and prepare your treatment or purchase discussion.

The short answer

The main difference is the physical principle: sound, radiofrequency, pressure pulses, magnetic fields, light, cold or electrical stimulation. There is no overall winner for every condition.

The seven technologies at a glance

This table compares principles and example devices, rather than ranking clinical effectiveness. That requires a specific diagnosis, application and relevant research.

TECARRadiofrequency energyTecnosix CR5 / TCR150CAP and RES are modes, not recovery guarantees.

Compare with the same question in mind

Start with your reason for comparing. Patients usually want to understand a proposed treatment. Practice owners must also consider space, workflow, training and total setup costs.

Select two techniques below for a short comparison, then open the guides for differences within each technology. Two systems called laser or TECAR may have different configurations and controls.

Five considerations before choosing

  1. Diagnosis and goal: which problem and functional outcome matter?
  2. Evidence: does the research match the patient group and application?
  3. Safety: are individual precautions, training and room arrangements addressed?
  4. Workflow: which accessories, time and maintenance are needed?
  5. Review: when is added value sufficient, and when should the plan change?

Common comparison mistakes

More watts, a stronger field or more programmes is not a general quality ranking. A maximum value only has meaning within its technical context. Feeling better after a session does not establish readiness for full sports activity.

For confident recovery claims, ask which patients were studied, what the comparison was and what was actually measured. This makes the comparison useful for a concrete decision.

Your next step

Patients can take the discussion guide to their clinician. Practice owners can use the selection checklist and ask for equipment advice. Describe the function required and current setup. FRAMO serves the Netherlands and Belgium; contact Sixtus Italia for every other country.

Frequently asked questions

Which technology works best?

There is no general answer. Compare relevant evidence for a specific diagnosis, goal and application.

Why is there no star rating?

A ranking would treat different principles, patient groups and applications as equivalent. It would not support a reliable individual choice.

Can a combination unit replace several separate devices?

Assess whether functions, accessories and controls fit your workflow. A combined system does not automatically offer every separate device’s capabilities.

Are all listed devices immediately available?

This is a knowledge overview. Ask FRAMO for the Netherlands or Belgium, or Sixtus Italia for other countries, about current availability, configuration and terms.

Can I copy research settings to a different model?

Not on the basis of this comparison. Technology, accessories and parameters may differ; current instructions and professional assessment are needed.
